Description
The Rhône : A river suited to trade. Since ancient times, all kinds of boats have used the Rhône from Seyssel to the Mediterranean.
Tourist navigation : During the 80s, major hydroelectric work on the Upper Rhône River greatly changed its appearence. The construction of canals and, more recently, modern locks, have helped to develop pleasure cruising.
The Viarhôna cycle route : Crossing the Rhône with bridges and dams, the Viarhôna cycle path welcomes cyclists, rollerskaters and hikers. The borders of this charming route are regurlarly looked after by...sheep !
